"I have been training with Kellie for nearly 3 years and I have found that is is one of the best decision I have ever made.  I have always been a large girl apart from two times in my adult life, once when I wasn't really eating that much (and was very unhappy) the other was when I was working a very physical job.  After both of these times I put the weight back on and more!! I have learnt you have to find your bliss..and mine is powerlifting. Today, at 52 years young, my answer to the exercise question is  " I love it." 3 years ago I went from cardio based HIIT to strength based training and I had that light bulb moment people talk about that changed their life. This is what my body is meant to do.   Everything else I have ever done felt like punishment. Powerlifting has changed my attitude to exercise and has shown me what my body is capable of. My family and friends are so proud of me for sticking to a training regime and support me at every competition I enter. I started strength classes in April 2015 and since then I've competed in 2 powerlifting comps, gained strength, mobility and core strength.     I love that my body is able to lift heavy. I love the feeling of adding extra weight onto the bar and being able to lift it. I love the small 'wins' along the way, being able to do a push up off the ground, a chin up unassisted, the monkey bars with my kids at the park. All the things that I never thought I would ever be able to do.   I have never stuck to anything for this long, I've always given up, never found the time, was too hard etc etc, but you keep coming back for more because you know that every day you're getting stronger. I think that's why most of the girls have been with Kellie for so long. Her constant support during the classes and throughout our program is reassuring and encouraging. I was bored, I stopped seeing results, it was too hard and not tailored to the individual, I didn't like the environment or the trainer or the class times didn't fit in with my life once I had a baby. Looking back, some of these reasons were valid but mostly I quit because the focus was always on weight loss and eventually this would wear me out and I'd lose motivation. Even when I lost a lot of weight, I still never felt happy with how I looked or felt like I was achieving anything at the gym.
